This Entry is Entirely Not Funny

I weigh 174 pounds in the morning. If I weighed in at a WW meeting, it would probably be closer to 180. This means that in 2010 I gained about 10 pounds. It also means that since my breast reduction surgery (yes, I had surgery to make my fun bags less fun) in late 2008, I have gained 20 pounds. And some of that is in my breasts. I remember the surgeon telling me that most patients lose an average of 10 pounds after their surgery without even trying because they don't feel they need to hide anymore. Wonder what happened to me? I was so committed to my health before I went under the the knife. I lost 15 pounds, I was exercising and going to acupuncture. I wanted to make sure I was looking and feeling great so that I would look and feel great after my surgery. It worked, too. The healing process was a good one, very easy. I'm sure part of that was due to my choosing a great doctor, but I gotta give myself a lot of credit, too. I worked hard to make sure I got through the surgery with flying colors! Not sure what changed in me post surgery, but obviously I chose to hide again. Obviously, I want to be invisible. Clearly people who write blogs and blab all kinds of personal info on them want to be invisible.

I was incredibly tired today. Everything was hard. Many things contribute to my fatigue and having a job that I hate and feeling absolutely stuck there with not even a flicker at the end of the tunnel is one of the worst contributors. I cannot sit in an office with no windows and then leave to find no sun outside. I don't know how anyone can do that? How can you spend your life not engaging with people and life and whatnot? I am an extreme "Debbie Downer" tonight and I am sorry, but I figure there's no reason to fake it here. I do that all day long at work. And sometimes I do it on the weekends. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for my life and happy more that I am unhappy, but there are days when I just, well, have some "Debbie" moments. Thank God "Modern Family" made me laugh until I cried.

My food diary
B-Two Eggs and one piece of dry toast.
L- I went out and had two shrimp tacos, rice and beans and a diet coke.
Snacks- Hard Candies, which I don't even like! And a low fat string cheese stick.
D- Soup that I made, so I know it was pretty low in fat, etc.
Water consumption was good, not great.

I will admit that I am not fully committed to the diet thing yet. And I think that at some point I will have to join WW.

No exercise. My back is making me sad. Please heal, back! On a positive note, I'd been wishing that the gym I used to belong to offered a month to month membership rather than making you sign a year contract. Then today I got a flier in the mail that said "we offer month to month memberships". Yay! They have an indoor running track and I really need that for the cold months.

For Tomorrow
Eat healthy
Stop by the gym to inquire about fees (please be much lower than I expect! Please!!)
Drink 8 glasses of water
Don't be a DD
Blog

I'm afraid I may have gotten a little TMI with this one, ladies, but who fucking cares. I can always delete it tomorrow.  Wonder what would happen if I ever blogged drunk?

Night-Night

  2. Oh, Jenna, how I can relate to you!! Gaining weight happens when we don't pay attention. I wasn't aware it was happening until I had to buy bigger jeans, and even then kidded myself into thinking it was just, oh I don't know, I was in denial. Once you can start excerising again you feel a lot better. Excerise has helped me with my depresssion and anxiety more than any other medication. Hang in there sister, it's okay to have a shit day. We are all cheering for you, and believe in you. xoxo

  3. I know what you mean about feeling slightly uncomfortable blogging such personal thoughts. But I kind of feel like it's freeing in a way. Some of you I know and some of you I don't, but either way I feel like it's therapeutic. And we're obviously in no position to judge ;) anyway I I appreciate the support from you and the other ladies when I'm having a shit day too.
