1) I'd like to stop eating like a 19 year old boy (see confession). But seriously, changing my eating habits is at the top of my list. It's actually more important to me than losing weight. Obviously I hope that weight loss is a result of changing my eating habits, but good health is more important to me. (I almost wrote all of that without rolling my eyes at myself! I mean, who am I kidding? Have I forgotten my obsession with before and after photos? They're like crack for me! I've actually googled "before and after photos" to get my fix! I dream about my "after" photo daily. It's super hot, btw)
2) I want exercise to be a regular part of my life, not some biannual torture-fest that leaves me stunned with first degree burns between my thighs and running home to look up "heart palpitations" on WebMD.
3) I'd like to read more, and not just Facebook updates! Like, you know, books and stuff.
4) Apply to schools.
5) Learn to play one song on the guitar.
6) Take things less personally! This is super duper important and probably will be my biggest challenge. I am a woosy with thin skin and that needs to CHANGE!
7) Find a creative outlet. Heck, might just be this blog.
8) Eradicate unnecessary stress from my life.
9) Learn how to spell unnecessary.
I'm sure my list will grow and change, but this is my starting point.
And now for the whining. I'm sorry, but what are self help blogs for if not to whine a little? I threw my back out about a week before Christmas. How, you ask? I was having a stressful conversation and five minutes later I couldn't walk. Yeah, that's right, a CONVERSATION! There was no lifting involved. Could that have happened because I have no core muscles? Or because I'm carrying a 30 pound imaginary baby around? Probably. Anyhoo, it has left me kind of useless, so the plan for the new year is starting a little slow for me. I can't go grocery shopping or spend much time on my feet, but once I'm healed, look out 2011!!!
Thanks for reading ladies! I think this is going to be very helpful and fun!
