Somebody Give Me A Metal

When I say somebody should give me a metal, I mean WW. Or a least a bravo sticker. I just spent 8 hours (minus a lunch and phone break) in my kitchen reorganizing and setting myself up for success. I washed and chopped all my veggies, I labeled my foods with their point values, rearranged my fridge so veggies are on the top shelves and breads, etc are on the bottom. Nothing healthy is in my crisper drawers. It's too easy to forget about it there. I rearranged my cupboards and found cornmeal that expired in '05. And why do I have more than one container of margarita salt? I threw so much away and am now set up to kick butt!! I felt no guilt about my 8 point mocha after all I did today. I also decided to give spaghetti squash another try tonight. I haven't had it since I was kid, but since I hate sweet potatoes, cooked carrots and most squash, I thought for sure I'd hate spaghetti squash. WRONG! I loved it! Trying spaghetti squash was another idea I got from a meeting. Gotta love those corny meetings! It was sooo good and I am really excited to have a new zero point food to enjoy. Well, zero points before I add all the good stuff to it. It was so filling and so easy to prepare! Yay!

Since I got all crazy in my kitchen today, I did not ice my back much and now it hurts a lot. Maybe I should have taken it easy today, but prepping my kitchen made me feel good in other ways. I can really geek out on organizing stuff. In fact, I think I could organize kitchens for a living. I'd probably love my job! Having a super organized kitchen will also make my week so much easier, thus taking some pressure off of my poor little back.

Tomorrow
Wake up early enough to stretch for 15 minutes
Try having breakfast at work instead of at home. I think it will help me stay satisfied longer. At home I will have a piece of fruit and some coffee. Then I'll eat my english muffin at work.
Eat well and track everything
Meet with my neighbor to start my spiritual journey type thingy-ma-bobby (vision board, affirmations, etc.)
Go to yoga

Gratitude
Best Mom ever!
A new favorite food.
An organized kitchen
The Internet. I would not have known how to cook my new favorite food without it.
Strength to get through my day

  3. That is awesome Jenna! With spring just around the corner I need to get back on track and really log those points. I also want to start working out more. I have this thing in my bedroom called an eliptical machine - I think it's for something other than hanging my wet clothes on. I could be wrong though. You really inspired me so thank you! Keep up the great work. I give you a BRAVO!
