So, as you ladies already know, I lost 4 pounds last week! There was an audible sound of shock when I stepped on the scale yesterday. I did not expect that at all! On the way to my WW meeting I just kept thinking, "please let it be 2, please let it be 2". I was so proud of myself and thought back to my night at Walgreen's when I was staring at all the things I wanted and the ultimately passing them up or trying to find a lower point alternative. Of course it didn't take long for me to think things like, "I wonder if the scale is broken or maybe it's because I didn't eat much breakfast?". I think my evil twin (whatever her name is) is out to make sure my self esteem never improves beyond my middle school years. This week one of the things we talked about was negative self-talk. Guilty! It really serves no purpose, but it's hard to rid yourself of the habit. At least it is for me. So, with that said, I'm doing my best to just believe the scale was telling the truth.
Last night I went out with a friend to see a show that she had to review for Time Out Chicago. We were supposed to meet up before the show for some eats, but she had some things to get done and asked if we could go out after the show. Oh shit, late night eating. I made myself a little 2 point dinner to get me through the show and then we ended up at a place that did not have one healthy item on the menu. I think even their salads were deep fried. We ended up ordering a veggie pizza. Pretty good choice, really. I had two of my slices and two beers and went home. What???? Who is this girl?? I only dipped into 8 of my weekly points yesterday. And I have two pieces of pizza for today! Yay! I'm truly shocked and have no idea where all this self control is coming from? I guess I'm lucky that it hasn't been a very social couple of weeks because that is ALWAYS what gets me.
I have monthly depression today and it is made worse by the fact I have no Super Bowl plans. Being alone during the blizzard was hard too. I'm very independent and don't usually mind being single. However, this week it has been really hard for some reason. Can the egg drop already??? Sheesh,
Tomorrow
Eat well and stay within my points/track
Go to the stupid gym
Thanks
Live Music
Pizza and the fact that I can eat it on WW
Losing 4 glorious pounds!

My insane motivation!
Hope everyone is having fun today!

PS- I think my evil twins name is something really bitchy and will come up the name soon. She is a skinny, evil bitch! Her sole purpose in life is to make me feel like crap about myself. Take a hike, bitch!
Ms. Awesome, you indeed are way more awesome than you or NenJa (evil twin ... don't ask) give you credit for. I hope your self-worth begins to shine like patten leather shoes on Easter Sunday! NenJa can take those 4lbs & future 4lbs on her bitchy hike! Lots of love to ya sister!
ReplyDeleteMy evil twins name sounds something across between Ninja and someone from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta". LOL! I have a thing for patten leather :-) Thank you!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWow, she does sound bitchy. How dare her try to make you doubt your 4 pound weight loss! I have monthly depression too and I'm married. I don't know what it is. I blame it on the weather but it's usually PMS. Keep going with your motivation. I was incredibly shocked at the changes I was making too! Ugh Ellison is sitting next to me eating fat wings and pizza. I had vegetable soup and a mozzarella, tomato, and basil sandwich.
ReplyDeleteMy evil twin does the same things to me. I too have monthly depression, and am also married, I blame it on the winter. I NEED things to look alive again. I think the key to the control over food is not denying anything, once it's an option, for some reason, I don't want to eat ALL of it. huh.
ReplyDeleteWish you lived closer, you could have come partied with us last night :) Keep up the amazing work Jenna!!!!
Oh Man! That would have been so fun!!
