Blogging to Stay Warm

I am so cold that I decided to get under the covers and blog now instead of at bedtime. Chicago is once again under a windchill advisory. And I feel fat. Real fat. And I'm full of rage and I want to cry. Why must female hormones wreak such havoc on our bodies and emotions? Frankly, I wish I had male hormones and just wanted to mount every guy that walks by me in a nice suite or a pair Chuck Taylor's. I wish I got a stiffy every time the wind blows rather than wanting to burst into tears because... it's Tuesday. And the worst part of this PMS (and MS) is that my body is preparing to have children, which I am not going to have! I'm suffering for no reason! I mean, my eggs are so old now I'd probably end up giving birth to Abe Vigoda.

Yesterday a woman who works on my floor asked me if I was sick and when I said no, she said "you look sick. Your eyes are all red".  I thanked her, threw my stapler at her head and said, "who looks sick now?". Okay, I didn't do that, but what the heck, man! Apparently, I walk this earth looking like a sickly, pregnant woman. Though, if you factor in the back issues, I guess what I actually look like is a sickly, 80 year old pregnant woman. Awesome.

I have been doing fine with my eating this week, but the gym has not happened yet. I don't know where I'll find that motivation. Maybe tonight's "Biggest Loser" will help. Or maybe moving to a place where the sun shines every once in a while is the thing to do.

Tomorrow
Go to yoga (ha!)
Track and stay within my points range
Blog

Gratitude
I'm grateful that I'm not a violent person or my monthly rage would be a real problem
Grateful for the free chiropractic care that was offered to me
Grateful for Trader Joe's. That place is great for financially challenged dieters.
Grateful for my bed and the two kitty cats who are always lounging on it.
Grateful for my continued food motivation and for you girls helping me with that!

Grrrrrr....

  1. Jenwa. Every girl needs to throw a stapler every now and then. The beauty about this rage, it'll pass in a few days, you won't feel bloated anymore, and you'll lose more weight because you are awesome. Try and go to yoga, it will make you feel better :) Winter is seriously bumming me out too, it made me eat Nachos today...

  2. I'm a naturally grumpy person, add PMS to that equation and I'm a real dream to be around. so I feel your pain. At work I sit facing my boss, with our desks against eachothers. April's blogged about this man, he's completely retarded. I deal with this by creating an invisible wall between us... it works really well. It helps me to drown out all the nonsense coming out of his mouth. Just don't tell the person about the "wall" to block out their bullshit. That happened on a particularly grumpy day :)

  3. Some people are so stupid. It's comical. Don't you wish that you could be that rude just once right back? Ugh. Your blog made me laugh though. I'm sorry I benefited from your pain but I needed it. My boss is an effin moron too. I feel bad because he brings out the nasty in me and I don't care. I hate not caring about being mean.
